Steve Guolla
MGI Experience: Since 2012
Steve Guolla (born March 15, 1973 in Scarborough,Ontario) is a Canadian ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League. He was drafted 3rd overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 1994 NHL Supplemental Draft. In his NHL career, Guolla played 205 regular season games, scoring 40 goals and collecting 60 penalty minutes.
Handicap: officially a 12 (modified by the MGI policy board)
Golf Strengths: No one really knows, as the MGI scouts were unable to get any feedback from his MGI sponsor Burt Keiper. It is believed that he has a great turn through the ball, and should have some explosiveness off the tee. Legend has it, that he is like many former hockey players (Smiley), they play better golf while drinking!
Golf weaknesses: On the golf course, Steve plays left handed with a baseball grip which is an odd combination. He also struggles out of sand bunkers, and the Senator course has plenty!
Expectations: to avoid the sophomore slump, and play strong for team TK. ”I can’t wait to get down to Miami, and say Hey Buddy to Gol, and give him a big hug!”
