January 21st, Goleno attempts to get a warm up round in Boulder City. The entire Las Vegas valley is under a wind advisory urging everyone off the roads, as the winds are close to category 3 hurricane winds.
This same day, while we were playing in Boulder City, they suspended play on the PGA tour in nearby Palm Spring for high winds, yet we played 36 holes in these conditions.

The Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational was held at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas. This was the first time that the general public was able to visit Shadow Creek which ranks near the top of everyone’s best of courses.
The course was incredibly beautiful and it played tough as only a handful of the twosomes were able to break par in the two day scramble event.
Michael Jordan partnered with Toni Kukoc to win the event.
